About us

Ciizens and Societies is a new organization which provides analysis and strategic planning for villages, towns and other communities, according to an innovative analysis methodology based on the fact that societies are premier organizations.

This basic concept is at the base of a new emerging science, societology, which allows to study the different collectivities in terms of civic membership and the accessibility and distribution of societal resources.

At the origin of this new discipline, Denis Pageau is a generalist. He is naturally interested in societal management, but also in psychology, sociology, management, best practices, communities of practice, strategic planning, organizational learning, collaboration, teamwork and collaborative work, business processes, project management, neurology and neuropsychology.

He has a Bacalaureate in Psychology, a Certificate in Public Administration and a MBA in eBusiness. He is also certified Myers Briggs Type Indicators (MBTI), True Colors and in the development of strategic alliances.

Sudhamshu_ Dahal  

Sudhamshu is an avid media sociology researcher and development professional with specialisation in community communication, empowerment of rural communities and community development project building & support.

With consistent track record in management of rural community support projects including project building, support, and M&E, he has been developing national level programming including mass media and interpersonal outreach tools, programme monitoring and evaluation using rights based programme approach.

Sudhamshu has a broad base experience in working progressively with UN agencies, civil society organisations, media and academia for over 15 years with focus on social transformation through social innovation and community based research.

He has a strong interest in research on social, cultural and political empowerment in South Asia. He is finishing Ph.D. thesis on ‘Community Media and Empowerment’. He has been teaching Media, Culture and Society and Research Methodology to the graduate students in India and Nepal.
